LEAGUE OF FRIENDS OF ST MARGARET’S HOSPITAL AND COMMUNITY - The charity has long been a support to services at the Epping hospital. Over the years many ‘extras’ have been provided for various wards and departments, and requests regularly come for more from help to provide Christmas cheer on wards to its latest huge project – the provision of hoists above beds in the wards in the new hospital building. These efforts need support from local people, many of whom have or will benefit from St Margaret’s whether as an in-patient or out-patient, carer or relative. New members are sought. The charity also wants to raise awareness of its activities to attract donations. Some very welcome gifts have come from people who prefer not to receive presents at birthdays or anniversaries but ask for donations to the League. Some of the charity's larger provisions to the hospital have been made possible through bequests and trusts. To become a Friend, help with fundraising activities, give raffle prizes and suggest ideas for events, ring Liz Jones on 01992 572979 or email lizajones@ntlworld.com
